Technological  innovation in human society

Technology has made it easier to farm, build cities, and travel, among other things, effectively connecting all countries on the planet, assisting in the creation of globalization, and making it easier for economies to flourish and firms to do business.

Multi-functional devices like the smartwatch and smartphone have been made possible by modern technology.
Computers are becoming quicker, more portable, and more powerful than ever. All of these innovations have made our life easier, faster, better, and more enjoyable.

The dotcom bubble burst just over 20 years ago, sending many tech companies’ stock prices soaring. Some companies, such as Amazon, were able to quickly recoup their losses, but many others were left in ruins. Technology has progressed significantly in the two decades since the catastrophe.

Today, there are many more people online than there were at the millennium’s commencement. In terms of broadband, only half of all Americans had it at home in 2000. That percentage has risen to above 90% now.

Disadvantages of technology

Just like technology helps makes human life better, it also has some disadvantages attached to it;

Eye strain and difficulties focusing on crucial tasks may be caused by social media and mobile devices, which can lead to psychological and physical problems.

They could also play a role in more serious health issues like depression.

Overuse of technology may have a greater influence on children and teenagers in their formative years.

Research has linked too much screen time or
low-quality screen time to
behavioral problems.
less time for play and loss of social skills.
obesity.
sleep problems.
violence.

Children are increasingly using mobile gadgets, and they may become addicted to them, resulting in their spending insufficient time with their families and/or friends. They’re even better…

Excessive screen usage can cause health problems such as sleeplessness, eyestrain, and anxiety and depression.

Summary

While we owe a debt of gratitude to the bright brains who have provided us with such advances, it would be naive to think of technology as purely a benefit to humanity. It may often be a curse, with countless visible and invisible impacts on individuals, groups, and humanity as a whole.
